We set to building knowledge, skills and competence in individuals, group or team to facilitate economic integration and cooperation and promote sustainable development, reduce energy and carbon intensities. The training is meant to teach how to design, install and maintain solar power system and build confidence in the artisan, who would be out there either as self-employed professional or employee in a reputable organization.  

Becoming a Solar Professional

Those seeking professional career paths in renewable solar installation will find their answers here. Those with little or no experience in solar may begin their careers by attending our Basic Electricity training course. They will learn the theory side by side the practical. They begin by understanding the basic principles, take measurements, sizing solar panels, and putting them in place. Installation requires the use of hand tools such as drills and screwdrivers. The design aspect comes first, where the engineer will computerize, size, and produce appropriate circuitries to help the technicians execute the job as specified. The quality test and measurement ascertain the installed system is ready for commissioning. The training will lead participants to obtaining PV Solar certification, making them employable anywhere around the world. 

Skill Training on Solar Power

We train Youths to become professional solar installers with practical knowledge to design and install PV (photovoltaic) power generators, including the energy storage (battery back-up) for stand-alone (off-grid) and hybrid systems abiding to the policy for “Regulation of Solar Electric in Nigerian Power Sector, under the “Renewable Energy Policy Guidelines 2006 (REPG 2006)”, instituted by ‘Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC)’. Our Health and Safety teachings are consistent with the standards adopted for the NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) program such as ‘Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)’ referenced 1996-2020 International Labour Organization (ILO) - Global Database on Occupational Safety and Health Legislation.

Solar power installation is a thriving sector on the global front and its future requires that we produce energy consistently and that professionals should be available on ground to serve the people’s need and join move the sector forward. This programme is designed for Youths and young technicians who want to build a sustainable career in solar installation engineering, to make them employable. It is also an excellent option for skilled workers who intend advancing their career as professional solar installers.
